A plot is a digital collectible: one of exactly 1,000,000 cells drawn on the land of our virtual globe. Owning a plot gives you the rights listed in these terms, on this platform, for as long as the service runs.

• A plot is not real land, real estate, mineral, territorial or any other real-world property right, and has no connection to any government or landowner.
• A plot is not a security, share, investment product, cryptocurrency, token or e-money. We make no promise of profit, and resale value can go down as well as up, or to nothing.
• We own the globe, the grid, the software, the brand and the certificate design. You own your plots on the platform and keep ownership of content you upload.

• You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter a binding contract.
• You must not be in a country, or on a list of people, that is subject to UK, EU, US or UN sanctions.
• Give accurate details, keep your login secure, and use one account per person. You're responsible for what happens on your account.

• New plots cost £1 (GBP) per plot. Prices in other currencies are approximate guides only. Your bank or card provider does the conversion and may charge fees.
• Prices include any VAT or sales tax we are required to collect, unless stated at checkout. You are responsible for any other taxes on your purchases, resales or gains where you live.
• Selected plots are held for you for a short time while you pay. If payment doesn't complete, the hold ends and the plots are released.
• A purchase is complete once payment clears and we issue your certificate. That certificate is our record of ownership.

Plots are digital content supplied immediately. At checkout you agree that supply starts straight away and that you lose the right to cancel within 14 days, where the law allows this (for example under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and the EU Consumer Rights Directive). This doesn't affect your rights if something is faulty, not as described, or charged in error. Contact us and we'll put it right. Chargebacks made in bad faith may lead to the plots being taken back and the account being closed.

Land bought from us for the first time must be held for at least six months from that first purchase date before it can be listed for resale. The date on your certificate is the start of the six months. Plots you buy from another owner keep the original first-purchase date.

• Once the holding period ends, you can list plots with a Buy Now price, accept offers, or both. Accepting an offer or a Buy Now creates a binding agreement to sell.
• Ownership moves only once the buyer's payment has been confirmed. The buyer then gets a new certificate, and the plot's artwork, flag, link and message are reset.
• We may charge a marketplace fee, which will always be shown before you list or buy. Sellers are responsible for declaring and paying any tax on their proceeds.
• No wash trading, fake bids, price manipulation or selling outside the platform to get around these terms. We may cancel suspicious trades.

You can decorate your plots with colours, images, a logo, a flag, one link and a short message. You confirm you own or have permission for anything you upload, and you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to show it on the globe, in certificates and in promotion of the platform while it's live.

You must not upload or link to anything that is:

• pornographic, sexual, nude, sexually suggestive, or showing or depicting genitalia, including in disguised, distorted or cartoon form;
• involving minors in any harmful or sexualised way;
• violent, gory, extremist, hateful, harassing, abusive, threatening or discriminatory;
• illegal, fraudulent, a scam, malware or phishing, or infringing anyone's copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights;
• personal data about other people, or impersonation.

All uploads and text are screened automatically, including by AI, before they go live, and they can be reported by anyone. We may refuse, remove or reset content, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Serious illegal content will be reported to the authorities.

Certificates are signed records of a purchase and can be verified publicly. The public Genesis Registry shows the certificate number, the display name you choose, the number of plots and the issue date. It never shows your email or payment details.

We work to keep the service running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or retire features. If we ever permanently close the service, we'll give at least 90 days' notice and a downloadable record of your certificates. Material changes to these terms will be notified in advance. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Apart from that, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or changes in a plot's resale value. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You can close your account at any time. Plots you still own at that point may be released back to the globe. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, commit fraud or put others at risk.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of your local mandatory laws and can bring claims in your local courts. EU consumers can also use their national alternative dispute resolution bodies. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out.
