Privacy Policy

Plot On Earth operates this service and is responsible for the personal data described here. Email privacy@plotonearth.com.

• Account: email address, sign-in details (including Google sign-in if you use it) and your chosen display name.
• Ownership: the plots you reserve, buy, list and trade, your offers, and your certificates.
• Content: artwork, logos, flags, links, social handles and messages you add to your plots, plus any reports you make.
• Payments: handled by our payment provider. We receive payment status and amounts, never your full card number.
• Technical: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location from timezone or language (used to show prices in your currency), and security logs.

• To provide your account, plots, certificates and marketplace. Basis: contract.
• To screen uploads and text for harmful content, prevent fraud and keep the platform safe. Basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
• To keep financial and tax records. Basis: legal obligation.
• To send service emails such as receipts, offers on your land and security alerts. Basis: contract. We only send marketing with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

Anything you put on your plots (display name, artwork, flag, link, logo and message) is public on the globe. The Genesis Registry and certificate verification pages show your certificate number, display name, plot count and issue date. Your email address is never published.

Only with service providers who process data for us under contract: cloud hosting and database, authentication, file storage, AI content-moderation services, our payment processor, and email delivery. We also share data with authorities when the law requires it, for example to report illegal content. We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the US. Where UK or EU data leaves those regions, we rely on adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and appropriate safeguards.

We keep account data while your account is open. Certificates and the ownership chain are kept permanently as the public record of ownership, in pseudonymised form after account closure. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires, usually 6 to 7 years. Rejected uploads are deleted straight away. Security logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Depending on where you live (for example under UK/EU GDPR, Swiss FADP, California CCPA/CPRA and other US state laws, Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, Australia's Privacy Act and similar laws), you may have the right to:

• access, correct or delete your data, and get a portable copy;
• object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent;
• opt out of sale or sharing (we don't do either), and not be treated differently for using your rights;
• complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that's the ICO.

To use any of these rights, email privacy@plotonearth.com. We'll reply within one month, or within the time your law requires.

We only use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and make the site work. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we ever add optional analytics, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

Data is encrypted in transit, access is controlled by per-user security rules, uploads are kept private until checked, and administrative access is restricted and logged.

Plot on Earth is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
